Active Transport Championship kicks off at APS

With all the COVID uncertainty swirling around us, what better time to kick off a whole school competition to encourage more students to enjoy some fresh air while walking or riding to school! Mr Carron (PE teacher extraordinaire) - with the support of the rest of the Your Move team - is running an inter-class Active Transport Championship for four whole weeks. From weeks 4-7, students mark off a record sheet in their class if they walked, rode a bike or scooted to school. At the end of the four weeks, our Active Transport Champions will be crowned on National Ride 2 School Day. A little bit of healthy competition didn’t hurt anyone, as seen by the increased action at the bike racks before and after school! Let’s see who can keep it up for the whole month and be crowned the winners.
