Celebrating riding at the APS bike parade

We scored a fantastic combination of amazing weather and incredibly creative kids for the Albany Primary School Bike Parade this morning! There were 25 fabulous entries across all school years who had put a huge amount of effort into decorating their bikes. The kids had a great time riding around the basketball courts, with some great music provided by Mr Evans. The Your Move student team were the judges, and will announce their winners at the assembly tomorrow morning. The winners in the junior and senior categories will receive some great Your Move merchandise. A huge thanks to everyone who helped to organise the parade, and to the kids (and parents) who got their craft on and decorated their bikes!

Very cool to hear about the Dress Up Your Bike Day. I've given you 5 bonus points for reporting the number of participants that participated in the day and therefore used active travel to get to school, and I've given you another 5 for incorporating the Your Move student team into the judging process.

Thanks David - it was great fun and the Your Move student team really enjoyed being part of it, both on the day and following up at the assembly the following day.
