Freewheeling Hour

Paul Carron
Albany Primary School

Freewheeling hour is the class reward for classes who win our Active Transport Championship. All students from the winning classes get to bring in a wheeled device and wheel around on the basketball courts with their class for an hour during school time.

Teachers will often also set up the jumps we use for our bike club sessions or open up the mountain bike track that was constructed at our school last year.

Kids have been absolutely loving this reward and it is helping to continue to keep our active transport numbers high.

Below are some photos from a recent freewheeling hour.

Thanks for the Freewheeling update Paul - this prize for your interclass AT competition has earned you 60 points this term. You certainly are making the most of your jumps and track at Albany PS!
