Kicking off Term 4 with a Bike Month breakfast

Andrea Smithson
Albany Primary School

Term 4...all about seizing the opportunity to fit in active transport activities around the extremely hectic schedule of other things that happen in the school before the end of the year! In Week 1 we held our WA Bike Month Ride to School Breakfast, made possible with a WA Bike Month grant to our P&C. Just under 100 students and their families rode to school on the day, and they enjoyed a delicious healthy breakfast organised by our amazing P&C volunteers. The free coffee vouchers for adults who rode were also very well recieved! The Your Move student team worked hard to hand out stickers and raffle tickets, and were delighted to announce Bobby in Year 1 as the winner of the $100 voucher to Bob's Bikes.

Look at all those bikes 😲! You have earned 40 points for your Bike Month brekkie event, 20 for applying for the WestCycle grant, and 15 for sharing all the outcomes of your big day. Well done Bobbie - and EVERYONE at Albany Primary!
