Our wonderful Walking School Bus fell victim to COVID restrictions earlier in the year, and for a range of reasons it has not been back up and running as yet. The silver lining of the 'parking' of the bus means that several of our regular walkers have moved on to independently walking to school, and with that some of our long term parent supervisors are also no longer available. So it's time to reach out to our school families, and plant the seed for 2021. We've sent home a note with all our K-3 families this week, seeking expressions of interest from both walkers and supervisors. Our hope is that we'll uncover a whole new Walking School Bus gang to take us forward to 2021 and beyond. Stay tuned!

Ah - the silver lining! I guess in Albany you get used to the clouds and are really good at seeing the silver linings! Excellent work Andrea in launching this search for new talent - and it has earned you 65 points, plus another 10 for creating a great story!
