The positive impact of active transport on the community and the benefits it brings to our students often go under the radar of the people who put so much time and effort into promoting it. This is why it was so motivational to receive the email included below from a parent. I believe these parents are out there in all schools that are promoting and increasing active transport rates, we probably just rarely hear from them.
"I wanted to let you know how important the active transport program you’ve run has been to my child's development. I was very reluctant to let him participate as I was concerned about his safety due to his ADHD. He has actually worked really hard to be independent and his growth and development from this initiative has been profound."

Hi Paul - yes, I agree that positive feedback received is probably just the tip of the iceberg about how much the program and everyone's efforts are appreciated.
