Ride 2 School Day + Bike Club wrap

Summer finally arrived in Albany, just in time for Ride 2 School Day! We could not have asked for a more perfect morning for our keen riders, including a group of about 40 kids and parents who used Centennial Stadium as a Park and Ride point, and rode together as a group to school. The Your Move students were on hand to give out raffle tickets to all our riders, and followed this up with a great presentation at the morning's assembly to draw out some lucky winners. We had 112 bikes and scooters in total, with the racks overflowing!

That wasn't the end of the fun - at lunchtime, our fabulous new PE teacher Mr Carron held our first ever bike club! There were different activities set up for Yr 1 - 3 and Yr 4 - 6 students, with the older students lucky enough to test their skills on a set of jumps. A huge amount of fun was had by all, and our new bike club looks set to be a regular feature each term!

What a huge day Andrea! I love the sound of this new Bike Club. You have earned 40 points for celebrating R2SD, plus a few extras - 30 points for Mr Carron's Bike Club, 25 for your event Park and Ride, 10 points for another Albany "great read" and 5 points for sharing your excellent participation numbers. All in all, a might fine result!
