Ride2School Day wrap

It's been an eventful Ride2School Day at Albany Primary School! The day started out overcast but dry, and our riders came out in numbers - the Your Move student team stamped 124 cards for our students arriving on bikes or scooters, which is fantastic. After handing out stickers and fruit, the Your Move team quickly moved their focus to the assembly, where they handed out 3 Bike Week prize packs to the week's most regular riders.

By lunchtime, the drizzle had set in, but being hardy Albany residents we ploughed on with our bike obstacle course. It certainly didn't put off the kids, who had an amazing time doing slow bike races, zig zag riding, tossing newspapers, and going over jumps. Eventually the weather got the better of us, but it was still a great event and lots of fun for everyone.

Such a great day - huge thanks to everyone who made it happen!

Great work Andrea and all of Albany PS! You received 40 points for your R2SD event, plus 20 points for your obstacle course and slow bike race and another 10 points for including YM as an assembly item. A big, wet, fun, and very worthwhile, days work!
