Students take on the school bus message

Andrea Smithson
Albany Primary School

These fabulous students were the Your Move team back in Semester 1, but they were so engrossed in their project to promote more school bus usage at Albany Primary, that they have kept going all the way until the end of the year! They have worked with our local bus operator to develop a map that is tailored to our school community that shows which bus routes are best from different parts of town. They have also spent some time thinking about the barriers to catching the bus and how they can be overcome. In these last couple of weeks of term, they have submitted an article to the school newsletter and also delivered a presentation (using their new PowerPoint skills!) to the Year 4-6 classes. A brilliant effort and let’s hope we see their message taken on board by our school community.

Well done to the fantastic team for promoting Your Move so widely! You have earned 40 points for presenting to other classes, 22 points for writing about active travel in your newsletter AND 10 points for your well-written story! I am so looking forward to reading about the great things you'll achieve in 2022😃
