Term 2 Active Transport Challenge wraps up

It was another huge term of actively transporting at Albany Primary School! This term the Active Transport Challenge ran for 7 weeks, to really put our students travel habits to the test. This term catching the bus was included along with walking and riding/scooting. The results were amazing - over two thirds of students used active transport at least once, and 30% did so more than half of the days of the challenge. This is all the more impressive considering the amount of absences due to COVID this term! The year 3/4s in Room 22 are this terms winners of the challenge, and they'll be enjoying their bonus free-wheeling time on Thursday as their reward. As well as this, all students who used active transport for more than a quarter of the days in the challenge have also received entries into our huge end of year bike raffle. We are sure that the lure of this big prize will keep everyone motivated to keep using active transport during the usually wintery Term 3!
