WestCycle Bike Ed PD

I recently attended the WestCycle Bike Ed PD. It was a great opportunity to develop my bike ed delivery skills. I picked up lots of tips and tricks and games that I will integrate into my bike ed instruction to make my lessons better!

Thanks to WestCycle for bringing this session to Albany, it's great to see regional areas afforded the same opportunities as city areas.

Another excellent engagement with WestCycle! Another query from me too 😉 - was this funded with a grant? If not how did the funding work? You have earned 25 points for participating in this teacher training session. I look forward to seeing how you implement your new skills next time you deliver Bike Ed. Have a super weekend Paul 😊.

No the cost of the course was actually funded by my school 😁 It can be a bit hit and miss asking my school for funding relating to bike ed but this was a hit! I did not and will not receive any compensation for my time at the course but that is quite often just the name of the game, we do it for love ❤️ I have already planned the bike ed lessons that I will be delivering to the year 5's in a few weeks time using my newly developed skills - very excited to put it to the test shortly!

Thanks Paul - yes all of us who get to do things we love are very lucky 💞 - thanks for the update.

Just an extra note on this one James...the City of Albany also subsidised $100 of the course cost for teachers from Albany :)
