Thanks to a YourMove grant we have 4 sessions of bike ed for the year 5's this term being delivered by myself. Our first one took place last Thursday and it was great! Kids loved it and the level of riding ability was quite high. We had three students who could not ride at the start of their session but we were fortunate enough to have 3 extra helpers (one teacher, a parent helper and a high school work placement student) so they were able to give one on one attention to these students who were all up and riding by the end of the hour. I look forward to seeing these students join in with the main group from next lesson.

Thanks again to YourMove for the grant money that made these lessons possible.

Hi Paul. So many bikes and bikes and bikes! 🚲🚲🚲 Thanks for the update and it's great to hear that yet again, some more wonderful bike ed lessons are taking place in Albany. 10 points have been awarded for this story. I presume this is the same grant that paid for the year 4 bike ed lessons. If that's not the case, please let me know. I wonder what all these cyclists will be doing on June 3 - World Bicycle Day - riding to school perhaps?! 😉
