This Friday we are going to announce the five students who are going to be in our Your Move student team. These fantastic students with the help of a parent volunteer will also be starting the Star Card rewards scheme for the whole school to encourage everyone to use more active ways to get to school.

Great to hear that a new student leadership team is about to be announced for Albany Primary School! It would be great to hear if students had to express an interest to be a part of the team? Do you have a plan for a regular catch up for your new team? Sounds like they have been tasked with an important task!! Thank you Katy for your encouraging words. The student selection process was one suggested by a veteran teacher who has found that if the selection is from one class it is more likely to be sustainable. A passionate class teacher is discussing the selection questions suggested by Your Move and will make the final decision. I have already ordered 5 shirts and have my fingers crossed that they arrive before Friday. Never can be sure with Albany post!

Hi Russell, I will organise some students to go down to PP and Kindy to fill out star cards next week. I'm also going to get some to the walking school bus. Yes weather is horrid but if they start now, imagine how successful it will be in fourth term!
