During the school holidays, WestCycle visited Albany and organised a Teacher's Network Meeting which was attended by a few local teachers and some expert presenters. It was a great chance to see what other schools are doing and get ideas from each other as well as hear from the presenters who had some great information to share and provided ideas and inspiration to push our current YourMove programs even further.
The coffee and sweets were nice too :)

Hi Paul - I'm glad to see you didn't get bored during the holidays 😉! Great to hear about this network meeting WestCycles hosted. How did it come about? Was it specifically related to Your Move and active travel, or was it more generally focused on cycling? Either way it is a great initiative and has earned you 25 points for attending!

Hi James, no I was kept very busy 😁 not sure of exactly how it came about, I think it was a bit of a collaborative effort between WestCycle and the City of Albany who are very active working with YourMove in promoting active transport. The meeting covered a few topics, some parts YourMove and how to get the most out of it and some parts general cycling chat and how to build the profile and culture around cycling to increase levels of active transport to school. Overall.... TBC
