Yesterday the BSC Green Team went to deliver two workshops at Rivergums Primary School to the Year 6 students who will be joining us as Year 7's next year. The aim of the workshop was to introduce the Year 6 students to our Green Team and the Your Move program and help to increase their confidence to be able to walk, ride and catch the bus to High School from the beginning, next year.

This workshop was similar to the one that our teachers have been delivering for the last two years, but was modified by our Green Team students to be more interactive, fun and encouraging. We spoke about the Green Team, what we do and how to join next year, Transperth tips for catching the bus and first time bike journey tips. We also introduced the BSC Access Map and taught the Year 6 students how to use the map to get from their house to BSC on bike, foot or bus. We finished the workshop with some quiz questions and gave out some awesome Your Move prizes to some lucky Year 6's who could answer questions about the workshop content. Thanks to Matthew and the Year 5/6 teachers from Rivergums for having us! We will be back next year :)

After the workshops, the Green Team also headed off to the Mary Davis library and completed some project planning for next year in teams. We worked on assembly speeches to educate and encourage sustainability in our college for next year, a final design for our new logo, and the Message in a plastic bottle program. We also finished the day with a reflection session and a Boost Juice to thank our Green Team for being so dedicated, committed and overall awesome in their sustainability endeavours this year.

Your transition activity being run by the Green Team has earned you 40 points. You also earned 15 points for your team reflection and planning session. And of course that bonus 10 points for keeping the story lively and engaging!
