Today, Year 5 students used ideas from last weeks debate on whether or not kids should be driven to school, to write a persuasive text in preparation for NAPLAN writing next week.

Ideas were varied and persuasive. Some students even used humour to get their message across. Obvious benefits were getting fit, saving money on fuel and avoiding the parking congestion at school.

This is a great way to extend the debate activity Julie. It seems like the kids really got into it and what a bonus that it was used to prep for NAPLAN 🙂. You have earned 25 points for your persuasive writing activity plus 10 points for sharing the background and content created.
