Bannister Creek has had a busy start to the year.  The first newsletter reminded students and families about how to ensure everyone is safe within our school grounds and the new eRideable rules...

Bike racks are provided for students to secure their bikes and scooters during the day. A new scooter rack will be installed soon. Please encourage students to walk with their bikes and scooters on school grounds to ensure everyone’s safety.

The State Government has introduced new regulations regarding eRideables that can result in fines if not adhered to.

  • Children under the age of 16 are limited to motorised scooters with a maximum speed of 10km/h.
  • Exceeding 10km/h on a footpath-$100
  • No helmet-$50
  • No hands on handlebar-$50
  • Not giving way to pedestrians-$50

Hi Julie - excellent idea to share this important info with families. I imagine that there are a few more e-scooters out there after the Christmas break. Great to hear that you have another scooter rack on the way too. You have earned 22 points for including AT in a newsletter story this term and 10 points for sharing the details.
