At Caladenia Primary School, we completed our Term 1 Hands Up survey on Wednesday 24th Marcch

Results from our survey:

Based on our results from November last year, these scores definitely show an increase in the number of students actively walking, riding, scootering or skating to school. Nice work Caladenia!

This term, we held RAC incursions to promote moving around our community safely and participated in the National Ride to School day. We have planned to join in the Walk Safely to School day in Term 2. We are hoping that these will continue to promote being active and encourage students and families to actively get to school and reduce the number of cars during drop off and pick up times.

Hi Nicolle - great to hear that Caladenia celebrated R2SD and that you have seen some significant increases in cycling and walking. You have earned 40 for your event day plus a bonus 10 points for your discussion of the survey results. Remember that each term you can get points for planning sessions and student team meetings - also you might like to look at the activity "Define your issues and make a plan" as there may be some more points for you there too!
