Walk to School Day - APP Message

It’s National Walk Safely to School Day on Friday. Now in its 24th year, the annual community event encourages all primary school children to walk and commute safely to school. It raises awareness of the health, road safety, and environmental benefits that regular walking, or alternative active transport (especially to and from school) can provide for the long-term wellbeing of our children, not just on 19 May, but every day. Find out more on the Walk Safely to School Day website.

We would like to encourage all our families to walk to school this Friday. There are many benefits of walking in the fresh air. It encourages family conversations and laughter, stimulates the brain and is a fun form of exercise.
