Story Ride + Scoot kicks off Pedal Party

The City of Albany's WA Bike Month Pedal Party has kicked off with our amazing Library crew and the much-loved annual Story Ride + Scoot. The weather was a bit dicey but that didn't put off a bunch of junior riders and their families from enjoying a scenic ride around the Albany Peace Park, with stops along with way to read the pages of Mulga Bill's Bicycle that had been strategically placed around the park. With a hot chocolate to finish off (thanks to our WA Bike Month grant), it was a morning well spent!

For dicey Albany weather it is looking lovely, Andrea 🌤️! Great to hear that the Pedal Party has kicked off with a blast with Mulga Bill. Just last week my 6 year old was asking lots of questions about Dead Man's Creek! I'll have to send him to your library to get the answers 🤣. You have earned 40 points for your Bike Month Story Ride + Scoot and another 10 for the details.

What a delightful idea: Pedal Party. And what a wonderful way to engage children with reading. Well done Andrea & the Library crew & of course not forgetting the participants!
