The City of Armadale supported the Kelmscott Primary School to run a successful Ride 2 School event on the 13 March 2020. The City supported the event through the lending one of our Blender Bikes, a stationary bike that blends smoothies when the bike pedals are turned, and, through having our Mayor, Ruth Butterfield, present at the special assembly before the Blender Bike activity. The City's Health and Wellbeing Officer helped run the Blender Bike activity at the school and over 200 of the students rode, scooted, skated or walked to school on the day. Approximately 300 smoothies were created over the day with various classes coming out to participate in the activity throughout the day.

A quote from one of the Kelmscott Primary School teachers mentioned "The event was a massive success".

Thanks for sharing this Kirsten. It is great to hear how the City helped out with this event - I have given you 10 points for sharing all the details. If Kelmscott PS joins up and posts, they can get a minimum of 40 points for running this event! BTW - that is a beautiful smoothie bike!!
