City of Bayswater - On Your Bikes

City of Bayswater employees enjoyed a beautiful morning for a bike to work breakfast to launch their new bike facilities. Our CEO, Andrew Brien and the executive team supported the event as employees enjoyed a healthy breakfast, along with coffee from ThirdWheelVending, as well as bicycle technical advice from Bicycle Centre Morley. Previous staff surveys had identified bike security and end of trip facilities being barriers to riding to work. In a symbolic move, an undercover car parking bay was converted into a bike cage and lockers installed for employees to store their belongings. The breakfast was fantastic success in getting employees on their bikes and experiencing a different way of commuting to work.

Hi Dan, what a great first post. So encouraging to hear you had executive support at the launch. One thing we have learnt is that is super important to promote and encourage staff to use the new facility.
