City of Canning staff are being lured to a planned World Car Free Day event next Wednesday, 13 October between 8:30am-10:30am with the promise of free coffee, e-bike expeditions and inspiring ideas in a pop-up parklet.

Staff are being incentivised to walk, ride or catch public transport to work to claim a free coffee from Pedaling Beans Coffee Cart.

A Your Move Canning Travel Survey has also been sent out to all staff with more than 50 responses so far and some great ideas for improving the use of active transport to work. Staff that attend the pop up event will have the chance to vote on their favourite initiative to get staff using active transport to get to work and the first 20 people that vote will get a free coffee.

Staff who complete the travel survey will go in the draw to win a $100 IGA Voucher or a coffee voucher at Canning River Cafe.
