City of Fremantle 2022 Bike Month Wrap Up

City of Fremantle had a great Bike Month this year with four great events over October.
Starting with a community event at Bathers Beach Reserve there were learn to ride workshops for 3–5 year old's, bike maintenance checks and info sessions, as well as games and activities. Held over the school holiday period around 50 people, young and old took part over the morning.

Our staff Ride2Work day was a success with a healthy breakfast and a selfie competition to encourage people to get on their bikes and to enjoy our new end of trip facilities.

We provided support to the awesome crew of Big Bike film night by providing bike parking and bike concierge, with safety checks, safe riding advice and a heap of maps and info. Over 100 people enjoyed the great range of cycling stories on the night.

In amongst these City activities the community launched the opening of the South Freo Corner Pocket Park and bike hub -thanks to Town Teams, it was an epic day out at the South Freo Bike Party (thanks to Town Teams and RAC WA's installation).
Thanks to grants from West Cycle and support from Your Move and Brett Cotter from the Big Bike film night.
See you next year!

What an epic October - thanks for that excellent wrap on all the Bike Month activities run and supported by the City of Fremantle. The combination of activities has earned you a big 165 points and your comprehensive story writing has earned another 15 points. It sound like Freo residents are well set now for a super summer of cycling 😊!
