World Bike Day at City of Fremantle

To celebrate World Bike Day 2021, we held a staff competition to encourage people to ride to work. We also included people who were on holiday or working from home - doesn't matter where you were as long as you were riding. People were encouraged to ride by taking a photo before, during or at the end of their ride, to go into a draw for a voucher (thanks Your Move).

Promoted through our intranet, team chats, meeting room monitors, general hassling in the kitchen, it was also linked to our staff active transport options on-line. We got 4 likes, 1 comment and 116 views.

We only got our regular riders, with 9 staff photos, hopefully a few of those 116 views will be thinking on how they could switch up to active transport (PS - both staff bike sheds were full nevertheless). (PPS - One of our team who wishes to remain anonymous has been riding to work for 31 years!)

Hi Gav - great to see Freo setting the pace and being the first to post a story on World Bicycle day! You have earned 25 points for getting your staff motivated to join in and for influencing many more. I have also given you another 10 for sharing all the details of your promo.
