Walk N Wheel 2 School Day

On Friday 28 October 2022, I was lucky enough to accompany students and staff members from Warnbro Primary School on their 'Walk N Wheel 2 School Day' for the conclusion of Bike Month.

I received a well written formal invitation from Dylan, inviting me to meet the students at one of guided cross walks to then walk along to school. Once I arrived, I was greeted by Dylan and given a WA Bike Month sticker which I wore proudly! The Deputy Mayor (Hayley Edwards) and I had a great time and enjoyed seeing so many students actively travelling to school.

Warnbro Primary school also hired the Blender Bike from the City of Rockingham, so students could enjoy a nice healthy smoothie after the walk.

I'd like to thank Arlene, Bett, Dylan and the Your Move student team from Warnbro Primary school for the opportunity to join them for this walk. Thier continued involvement and passion for the Your Move program is amazing and look forward to joining them for future walks!

Hi Kieran - it is great to see how you have really taken on Your Move in your first 6 months or so at Rockingham 😊. You seem to be a real natural when it comes to supporting your local schools! We don't have a particular Your Move activity to reward you with for this post, but I have just given you another 10 points for sharing this good news story with us all. Have a brilliant weekend 😁!
