In early April the City of Stirling commenced it's e-bike trial (thanks to Switch Your Thinking!). The City now has two bikes that can be used for business trips or over night loans and one bike that can be borrowed for up to a week for personal and commuting use.
These bikes have been promoted through our intranet and staff newsletters already but to raise the profile we organised a lunch and learn run by People on Bicycles. Staff were able to find out about the bikes and most importantly try out a riding them. There is nothing like riding an e-bike to sell them to a sceptic. We also used the session to run through the City's mandatory induction and getting everyone set up to borrow them in the future.
We had 20 staff attend the session and have had several bookings as a result. In the week since the lunch and learn the bikes have covered 75km and convinced the CEO to purchase his own!

Hi Sam - great to hear about the 3 new additions to the Stirling fleet and the grand success of your Lunch & Learn session. They are some exciting outcomes - especially with the CEO 'buying-in' to the idea!
