In honor of Bike Week, the City of Swan held a 'Ride to Work Challenge' for staff at our Admin Center encouraging them to ride to work as many days as they could throughout the week. As an incentive, each trip earned participants a coffee voucher for redemption at a Carpe Coffee in Midland. To keep things interesting we also had a competition for most trip completed and greatest total distance traveled. In order to celebrate everyone's achievements, a morning tea was held today with some wonderful food and prize giving. Mike (pictured) rode a total of 130km over 5 days and won a $50 voucher for Bicycle Center, Midland! All our 15 participants enjoyed the Challenge, creating a buzz in the workplace and awareness around cycling in hope that more people feel inspired to get out their cars and onto their bikes.

Hi Emma, a challenge is such a great way to encourage people to get back on their bikes. You have earned some bonus points for letting us know how many people participated and giving enough information to make it easy for others to replicate.
