Ride to Work Breakfast

Over 60 people were welcomed by Mayor Aitken at the City’s Ride to Work Breakfast held near Drovers Place Wanneroo on Friday 21 October. The breakfast was held to celebrate WA Bike Month in collaboration with West Cycle and the Department of Transport. Attendees cycled to Drovers Place for a free breakfast and coffee before work, with attendees consisting of City staff as well as residents of all ages and abilities.
Information about the City’s Long Term Cycle network was displayed as well as details of the Splendid Park Criterium Circuit, the City’s Active Transport and Cycling Plan (2022/23 – 2025/26) and ‘Map Your Move’ to encourage the benefits of using active transport in the City. In addition, many attendees took advantage of access to a bike mechanic to have their bike checked.
