The City is proud to announce that four of our 'Your Move' schools were successful in receiving a Connecting Schools Grant.
Schools were eligible to apply in term 3, 2023 if they had completed a hands up survey and reached an accreditation of silver or higher.
St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School receiving a major grant, East Butler Primary School securing a major grant, Rawlinson Primary School scoring a medium grant and Grandis Primary School attaining a small grant. All four of the above champions were new to 'Your Move' which is impressive: Sarah (2022), Amy (2022), Kerren (2023) and Stephen (2022). I am sure their students will be absolutely thrilled to have a safe space to store their bikes, learn new skills through bicycle education and get inspired through the active travel library 🥳.
I would also like to acknowledge all our City of Wanneroo Your Move schools for their efforts so far in 2022-2023, I look forward to continuing to work with you to encouraging walking, scooting and riding to school and supporting all the good work that you do. Bring on term four activities 🛴🚲!!!

Hi Sophie - yes, it is wonderful to see how Wanneroo schools have engaged with this grant and will soon be benefitting from putting in the effort to apply. Thanks for all your work too in promoting this grant to your schools 😊. You have earned 10 points for using social media this quarter to promote the YM Schools program, plus 10 points for your story details.
