National Ride 2 Work Day 2023 Breakfast

Wednesday the 18th of October 2023 was National Ride 2 Work Day. City staff were encouraged to give bike riding a go, even if they rode some of the way to enjoy a FREE breakfast on our rooftop terrace overlooking the views of Lake Joondalup.

National Ride2Work day was advertised on our staff intranet, staff were provided with map your move electronic maps, the closest bus routes and information about end of trip facilities. Staff were also encouraged to speak to the traffic team if they were unsure what routes to take.

Staff who rode to work were also eligible to go into the draw to win an Azur Bike Pump! This bike pump was purchased with our 'Your Move' points from the rewards store, thanks 'Your Move'.

Staff could go in the draw to win the bike pump by:

Emailing the Traffic team and stating their intent to ride 2 work as well as accepting the calendar invite to the breakfast. The staff who turned up to the breakfast by bicycle went into the draw for the bike pump.

12 staff attended and there was a great mix of recreational and established riders.

The Winner was selected using a random generator, announced on the intranet and emailed their gift voucher. Well done to Rory from the Health and Compliance team who won the bike pump.

The City also promoted Ride2Work day on its Facebook page to encourage our community to give bike riding a go.
