Unveiling of Bike Shelters- St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School

Sophie Baker
City of Wanneroo

Mayor Linda Aitken attended St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School this morning to celebrate the official opening of the school's new bike shelters through a ribbon cutting ceremony. Student leaders and Sarah (Your Move Champion) all cheered when the ribbon was cut, a testament to the hard work that the school is doing through the Your Move program. The two bike shelters and the bike repair station were obtained from a Connecting Schools Grant. St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School were also celebrating National Walk Safely to School Day. Music was playing as students walked to school, they were greeted by Student Leaders and staff and took a piece of fruit, sticker and tattoo to class. The school obtained City of Wanneroo Kick Start Your Walk to School Funding to provide a healthy breakfast for the students. What a great way to start a Friday!

I was about to give you another 30 points on your previous story for all the efforts you put in to promoting WS2SD at all your schools in Wanneroo, Sophie - so we are obviously thinking along the same lines 😁. Great to see Mayor Aitken out and about again at a Your Move School!
