The WA Chapter of the Australian Association for Environmental Education recently conducted a professional learning opportunity for teachers, volunteers, government officers and others, called "Catchments, Corridors and Coasts". This course has been running annually for over 25 years. The 2023 session was held at Perth Zoo on 10th August, with David Paddon, of Your Move fame, as a Spotlight speaker! Thank you David for your contribution, time and the vital role you played during the networking sessions.

One of the key themes of "Catchments, Corridors and Coasts" is 'systems thinking', which recognises the critical importance of working together with seemingly diverse groups/systems and the opportunities this provides for learning, creativity and problem solving. David's presence at this professional learning demonstrated Your Move's commitment to understanding the big picture, to 'systems thinking'. Fabulous work Your Move! Thank you for your support!

Thanks for sharing this Elaine - great to see that David was there with the YM flag demonstrating that environment education is actually broader than many think. Now that people are thinking broader with Systems Thinking, perhaps it is time for a change of of title 💭? You have earned 25 points for attending this relevant PD and 10 for you story details.
