How did teddy come to school?

National Ride2School Day was celebrated at Coolbinia Primary with a "take your teddy for a ride" theme. The Room 9 Year 4 Your Move team prepared posters advertising the special day, including bringing a teddy or other soft toy to school for the day, for coming to school in an active way.

As you can see from the photos a wide range of favourite 'teddies' came to school. The 'teddies' enjoyed the day!

One dedicated student brought his large instrument to school on his scooter! Now this is dedication to being creative, healthy and active!

Congratulations to all our movers and shakers!

I must say, the teddies all look pretty happy - not a single frown to be seen 😁! You have earned 40 points for your NR2SD event, 10 points for giving us a good read and a bonus 15 points for your innovative "take a teddy" addition to the day.

Thanks for your feedback James. The Year 4 Your Move team suggested a couple of ideas to enhance our Ride2School Day. The students conducted a secret vote and the "take a teddy" idea won. Facilitating student voice is a powerful way to bring about new initiatives that perhaps the adults wouldn't suggest. The 'teddy' idea was an awesome success and taken on board across the year levels. Yeah!
