The Coordinator of the Your Move program at Coolbinia PS applied for Teacher Relief time to reflect on the Semester 1 events and plan for the Semester 2 happenings!
During Semester 1 the Year 4 Your Move teams (4 groups of 6 students) organised bike maintenance for all Year 4s, bike education for Years 4 & 5, a National Ride to School Day event, a National Walk Safely to School Day event, regular Fume Free Fridays, chalk promotion on paths, a stunning Your Move mural, 'Colour Your Moves' colouring competition, posters and a video, plus lots more! The Room 9 Year 4 students loved being the school's Your Move advocates!
In Semester 2 we will work with Year 4 students from Room 8. They are keenly awaiting the Your Move leadership role. Some of the events we have planned so far include: World Car Free Day in Term 3, continuing regular Fume Free Fridays with periodic surprise reward days, a Your Move Day event in October, parent/grandparent YM interviews, a 'carbon dioxide and the greenhouse effect' experiment, and more to be decided by the students as they settle into their YM leadership role. Can't wait!

I'm glad to hear you took some time out to reflect and plan Elaine - I know how busy you are! What a list of achievements the Room 9'ers have racked up 😊. And Semester 2 sounds just as jam packed, can't wait 😁! You have earned 15 points for taking the time to reflect and another 10 points for sharing it all here.Report comment
