World Car Free Day

Elaine Lewis
Coolbinia Primary School

Coolbinia Primary celebrated World Car Free Day on Wednesday16th September. As usual the Your Move (YM) team organised advertising and organisation of the event. On the day the YM students were located at the four school gates and gave stickers and raffle tickets to students who came to school in an active way.

Twenty raffle ticket prizes were on offer. There were 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, ranging from bike helmets and $50 bike vouchers, to shoe pets, hats and bags. The prizes caused great excitement!

The usual 'hands-up' survey was conducted using Office 360 Forms. The YM team created the survey forms. This was done to embed YM into Digital Technologies and reduce interruptions to class lessons.

It looks like an active travel Christmas at Coolbinia - so many great looking rewards and prizes! I can see why the kids were excited. You have earned 40 points for your event, plus a bonus 10 for letting us know how it all worked. Great to hear the YM team organised the promotion and running of the event.
