Scooter Skills at School

The Principal Geoffrey Smith recently responded to a request from the students. They suggested that Currambine Primary School run Scooter sessions in the Kiss and Drop area during lunch times.

The call went out and almost 30 students expressed an interest. So every Friday during Term 4, Mr Smith sets up a safe area where the students can show case their scooter skills and learn from their friends. The speed hump in the middle of the Kiss and Drop makes a great small jump.

The flow on effect of these sessions is that the students are now riding their scooters to school further promoting active travel.

Great idea team! I love how Mr Smith has responded positively to this suggestion and is even setting it up himself! I have upgraded your points for this activity to 40 points (as it is happening every week), and you also earned 15 points for the innovative nature of this. Well done everyone at Currambine!
