Last Friday, our Mentally Healthy coordinator, Dani and I got together to choose the winners of the National Walk to School Day colouring in competition winners. It was a very difficult choices, so we had to call in more adjudicators!

We had a 1st and 2nd prize for lower, middle and junior primary, however our senior entries were so difficult to choose from we had to have 2 runners up!

On Wednesday, Dani and I got up at assembly and announced the lucky winners. First prize consisted of a 'Your Move' backpack, drink bottle, slap band and a pen. Second prize winners received a drink bottle, pen, and a bell for their bikes (all thanks to the 'Your Move' rewards store!) The class who had the most entries also won an icy pole for their class, well done to Room 4! Each winner and winning class received a certificate to display for all to see. We have also posted our 'Your Move' colouring in competition winners to our school newsletter.

We then talked to the whole school about your move. As the weather has now taken a slightly wetter turn, we talked about grabbing the wellies, rain coat and umbrella and heading out from a lovely fresh walk to school. It was great to see the students turning up on Thursday morning doing just that!

We can't wait to start planning our next event in Active August, which we have tied in with Act, Belong Commit.

Fantastic stuff East Butler! What a great excuse to give some air time to the topic at Assembly. That's 25 points for the activity and a bonus 10 points for a sweet read.
