Today at our whole school assembly, I had the chance to present to the students the next upcoming event, National Walk to School Day.

Students were advised of what to expect on the day. On the 19th May, all students are encouraged to walk, ride or scoot to school with their trusted adult. We had advised children to arrive at 8am and to join us with a breakfast muffin and smoothie to start their day, thanks to the wonderful "Your Move" team and our wonderful P and C! We will be there on the morning, handing out stickers and temporary tattoos (our students were VERY excited about this!)

We then introduced the colouring in competition that the students are encouraged to complete to win some amazing prizes that will be drawn in our week 6 assembly (this really got them excited!) They were told they have 6 individual chances to win and 1 class chance!

  • K-1 - 1st and 2nd Prize winner.
  • Year 2 and 3 - 1st and 2nd Prize Winner
  • Year 4 - 6 - 1st and 2nd prize winner (these students have part colouring and the other part where they are encouraged to draw themselves, showing how they get to school).
  • The class with the most entries will win an icy pole for their class!

We left the students very excited! We can't wait to post the results and photos from our upcoming Walk to School Day!
