National Ride to School Day 2021

Abbi Kerimofski

On Friday, March 19th we held a National Ride to School Day event. This was a wonderful morning, and we were impressed to see a large number of students actively making their way to school.

The Harrisdale PS P&C secured a donation of fresh fruit through our local 7/11 petrol station. Fruit was provided to all students who actively made their way to school on the day. Along with this, a best decorated helmet competition was held, with students arriving at school with some incredibly designed helmets. We were lucky enough to have some reward points available through Your Move which we used to purchase three $50 Rebel Sport vouchers for student prizes. We were also able to redeem enough stickers for each student who actively made their way to school to receive one.

Harrisdale Primary School is split across two campuses, with Kindy and Pre-Primary students learning at our second campus. We were able to run National Ride to School Day across both campuses with great success and student participation.

James (Your Move)

Just look at those smiles and all those bikes! You and the Harrisdale Your Move team have put together a brilliant day - fruit, support from local business, helmet decorations - they have all contributed to the 20 bonus 'outstanding' points you have earned on top of the 40 points for the day and 10 points for giving us a great read! Oh - and welcome back to YM for 2021!
