The 2020 Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) Awards for Planning Excellence season has begun!

From NOW up until 25 August, you will be able to submit the fantastic projects you have been working on in the past year to your state/territory awards program.

The Heart Foundation is delighted to have Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia all offering the Healthy Active by Design Award in 2020!

This Award recognises projects that support and promote healthy and active living, with the intent to increase the community’s physical activity and/or other health outcomes in the built environment.

As the sponsor of the award, we advocate for environments that promote and support physical activity and heart-health outcomes. In collaboration with a number of stakeholders, including PIA, the Heart Foundation supports the creation of healthy built environments to get more Australians healthy and active. The built environment in which we live, work and play has a critical role in shaping our health.

Great to hear about HF's involvement in the Healthy Active by Design awards. Once again, we value how such initiatives can have a great influence on a large number of organisations, as well has HF staff themselves - so you have earned another 20 bonus points. Can't wait to hear the outcomes of the awards!
