The music was pumping as the year six leaders welcomed and directed students on bikes, scooters and skateboards to the courts where a circuit was set up. Staff and parents helped cut up six large fruit platters! It was a warm morning on Friday, but that did not deter 105 amazing students from participating from K-6. Students followed the circuit and stopped for a healthy snack and a participation certificate. We had some keen year five students being traffic wardens with stop signs at part of the circuit to allow walkers through. The control over all modes of transport was skillful with the traffic warden watching closely. It was wonderful to see all students with helmets and some wearing extra safety gear such a knee and elbow pads. Some even decorated their bikes, scooters etc. We continued the fun during morning fitness between 8:50-9am with students riding bikes on the oval while scooters and skateboards continued on the circuit. Other students enjoyed skipping. A fun morning held by all involved. Mrs Hibbert, the Hollywood PE Specialist, hopes these healthy habits will continue every week with Friday Fun Day, Ride to School day!

Hi Jacinta - and a big welcome back to all at Hollywood after a little break from Your Move! Great to see you all diving into R2SD with a massive event. Your celebration of R2SD has earned you 40 points, with 30 points for your special circuit activity and a bonus 20 points for the overall "outstanding" nature of your day, including having the traffic wardens, fruit and dress ups. You have also earned 5 points for sharing that 105 kids joined in and another 10 for an all-in-all good read.
