On Friday 19th March Honeywood Primary School Students were encouraged to Ride to School.

Information about the event was advertised via CONNECT and the newsletter.

On the day the "Your Move" team put on their Your Move t-shirts and manned every gate entrance to the school.

As students arrived riding their bikes or scooters the Your Move team members provided them with a "I love to Ride to School" sticker.

The event was advertised as an extra "Wheels on Wednesday" day so the students were allowed to ride their bikes or scooters around the bike track during both breaks.

The bike track was extended to include a "Bike Wash" (which was the sprinkler going) and an obstacle course.

The students enjoyed the event immensely.

One parent even placed a comment on the Honeywood Parents Facebook page that she noticed the positive impact the "Ride to School Day" had on parking in the morning as there wasn't the normal congestion.
