Open Night at Honeywood Primary

We had our Parent Open Night at Honeywood Primary last night.

Each class from Kindy-6 creates "passports" for our families to go on a learning journey to engage with their child's learning, reflect on their progress and discuss with them their learning.

Each passport has items for the families to visit both in the classroom and around the school. Items for families to visit included Our Move Road Safety activities in our classrooms and also Honeywood P.S. Our Move Physical activity station outside.

Over the term, we have been learning about road safety. Lessons have included walking home safely, stranger danger, traffic lights and road signs, passenger safety and bike safety. At the end of the term, I asked students for a tip on being safe on the roads. We then displayed this for parent open night. Miss Morrison, Pre-primary.

Hi Merinda - it is great to see that your parent community have seen all the work you have been doing on active travel road safety. That is an important step in getting parents on-board with maximising active travel at Honeywood. You have earned 25 points for including Your Move in your open day, plus 10 for sharing all the details.
