Students who signed up for the Bike Rescue have developed new mechanical skills as they build their custom made bikes for charity. Each of the five bikes were stripped down to the frames, forks and handles and then the stickers were removed, the bikes sanded and spray painted with students individual designs.

Year 12 student J, teamed up with a year seven student and said "I enjoyed the mentoring experience it provided me and the instructor Pearl was very encouraging.'

Ready Set Go!! Students had some great fun testing out their bikes by participating in a relay race around the D&T building.

A wonderful experience for all students involved. Next week students start building their own bikes. I hope you enjoy the videos.

Thanks for this update and the videos Donna. It looks like great fun and very practical at the same time. Can't wait to hear how they go building their own bikes!
