The school is currently in talks with both the Shire of Lake Grace and Mainroads for the establishment of a new cross walk - connecting across two roads.

Currently the cross walk stops in the middle of two roads creating an island and potential hazard as students must navigate across a main road without the support of a defined crossing point.

With a number of reported near misses in the last month alone, we are hopeful that this cross walk with fix an age old road anomaly and support both students and families crossing the road for years to come.

Hi Scott - this seems like a very sensible improvement to seek. Will the Shire and Main Roads be also looking at improving the paths connecting with the zebra crossing? I have linked this to the activity "Suggestions to LGA for pathway improvements" which gives you 30 points. Are you also thinking about a manned crossing?
