With our first Your Move planning meeting complete. We are pleased to unveil our new Staff and Parent Planners.

These new planners complete with defined Your Move events are designed as an active promoter of the Your Move program as we further look to embed the program formally within our school.

Parents and Staff are provided with their planners at the start of each term which we laminate and provide magnets to adorn their fridges (so the events are visible and hard to forget). Whilst also added to our Newsletter, Facebook page, Website and Skoolbag app to reach all members of our community.

This term we have set aside 7 specific Your Move events, many of which are the very first of its kind at our school with a plan to continue each term.

We also will add a weekly Your Move promotion of active travel to each of our Lake Grace 360's - which are student led mini assemblies each Monday.

It is safe to say that if you want to do something well, you have to do it well, so we have very much gone all out to make the addition of Your Move a big success at our school. It is also a very exciting initiative for me as the school's Your Move champion and Principal to embed and promote within the school.

Watch this space..... there is much more to come at LGDHS!

What can I say Scott - that is one impressive planner! I don't think I have ever seen so many AT events in a planner - can't wait to see it all come together. I also love how it is not just for staff by for parents too. Getting the plan out has earned you 25 points, plus a bonus 10 for your inspiring write-up. Remember that you can also earn points for each term that you post an article promoting AT in your newsletter - don't forget to share the articles with us!

We are certainly very excited! The planner really comes alive with all the events in the pipeline. Our parents were very interested in the program after i presented a mini presentation to them all last time. Is it worth adding a post without a photo? or should i wait for the staff version. Appreciate running a your move PL is another activity to generate points :). We will do! expect to see the first one in our newsletter for week 2 of next term.

Do it, do it well; a great ethos, Scott. Go LGDHS! I hope you find, like us, that the student model is a great vehicle for developing leadership skills. Each year we watch as the students in our Team develop, amongst so much else, the confidence to discuss (at times disagree!) & put their points of view, complete with reasons. It is always inspiring to watch as the many facets of leadership grow & develop.
