Dress Up Your Bike Day!

On December 10th, Lake Gwelup hosted our second annual Dress Up Your Bike Day! This event was a huge hit last year and this time we included shoes in the mix. Since it was in the final week of school, students mostly chose to decorate their bikes, scooters and shoes with a Christmassy theme. Tis the season to be jolly!

We had used a couple of $50 OfficeWorks vouchers from the reward shop to purchase a tonne of pencil cases, pens, rulers, highlighters and bike chains to give out as rewards. We gave away around 30 prizes and students were very excited to have some fresh stationery or bike supplies to kick off the new year!

The grand prize was a $50 bike voucher from TBE, which our school had won from sharing our pledge at the Your Move breakfast. This went to a Year 6 student who had decorated his bike and carriage at the back so marvellously that we think Santa might have considered swapping it with his sleigh. Although, reindeer are the most active and environmentally friendly form of air travel so Mr Claus is already doing his bit for Your Move.
