Platinum Connecting Schools Grant

Lake Gwelup Primary School was recently granted close to a $9000 Platinum Connecting Schools grant, thanks to the school community’s support of the Your Move Alternative Transport initiative.

This grant has been used to install 10 new bike racks in our upper primary area which significantly increases the bike capacity for the year 4-6 students. With many students riding to school, the new racks provide a secure area to store their bikes and has significantly reduced congestion in this area.

A massive thanks to the P&C for their contribution in ensuring the project was a success. Also, a big shout out to Miss Webster (previous Your Move leader) for all her hard work in applying for the grant and making this happen.

Lastly, thank you to Your Move for their generosity in providing the grant and supplying the great bike racks. The new addition will encourage even more students to get physically active on their journey to and from school.
