Yesterday our principal, Lynne Anderson, and Your Move champion, Joanna Webster, were lucky enough to attend the Your Move awards in Perth!
We were very excited to be a finalist for the “Innovate” schools category for this year’s Enjoy Djeran campaign.
We found it very inspiring to hear from Keynote speakers and touch base with leaders from the Department of Transport, as well as the champions at other schools.
One of our favourite ideas was from Albany Primary School, where they built a BMX track at the school. We also loved Winterfold Primary’s idea of creating teacher packs for staff.
Some of the big takeaways were about the importance of teamwork.
It was a wonderfully uplifting way to start the day and our community has shown their pride when we shared our experience on Facebook! Thank you, Your Move!
